Momma Le

Dear Phamish Phans,

As you may have heard, the heart of Phamish, Momma Le, recently had spinal surgery to remove two herniated discs and had the vertebrates fused as well. I am happy to announce that the surgery was a success and she is on her way to recovery. Unfortunately she needs 4-6 months of physical therapy to rehabilitate. She cannot lift anything over 5 pounds for the next 2 months and nothing over 10 pounds for 4 months after that making it impossible for her to get back to work. Phamish has contributed to many charities, fundraisers and individuals who were in need many times and now we are asking the community for your help and support for our loved one. For the cost of a few banh mis, you can afford Momma Le the opportunity to focus 110% on her recovery. Please pass this on to all of your friends and family and please make a donation for an amazing person who makes this world a better place one banh mi at a time.

Thank You!

Hello Phamish Phans!

Thank you for all the warm wishes since our announcement of going on hiatus. Our phamily really appreciates them. I have some good news! We will be back for a limited time next week serving lunch at Miracle Mile all week long. We have two back to back weekend catering gigs and decided that we might as well serve lunch during the week if we’re going to have the truck anyways. Momma Lisa Le will not be present as she is currently getting treated for her condition but her son Hac (that’s me!) will be coming down from SF to help with the day to day truck operations for the week so you can be sure that the Phamish eats will be the same tasty goodness you have come to love. We’re not sure when we will be back after this but will keep you updated with Momma Le’s and Brother Hai’s health. Hope to see and serve you all one more time. :)

Dear Phamish Phans,

It is with a heavy heart that I write to inform you that Phamish will be taking a hiatus from food truck operations until further notice, effective immediately. The reason being are the principals of our day to day operations are facing some serious health issues. Momma Le has two herniated discs in her neck that require spinal surgery and our brother Hai who only has a single kidney and it is failing. We are taking this time off so they can get the treatment, rest, and recovery time that they need as well as spend some quality time with the Phamily. We want to thank everyone for their support for the past two years. We have gotten to know many of you and am proud to call you friends. We <3 you and will miss you all dearly. Goodbye our fellow truckers. It’s been quite the adventure and we will miss the camaraderie. Our last service will be a pop-up dinner @ Seesaw in San Francisco this coming weekend. Hopefully Phamish will not be out for the count and we may make a comeback in a different form. So long and and thanks for all the fish!

<3,

The Phamish Team
